2.5. Minors are strictly prohibited from using Plotlight under any circumstances.

3.1. Account Creation. To access most features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date.
3.2. One Account Per Person. You may not create or maintain multiple accounts. Discovery of duplicate accounts may result in termination of all associated accounts.
3.3. No Account Sharing. Your account is personal to you. You may not share login credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
3.4. Security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at boxoffice@rolecallstudios.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3.5. Account Deletion. To delete your account, email boxoffice@rolecallstudios.com. Upon request, we will delete your account and associated data, subject to the following:
- Published Content that has been forked by other users: existing forks remain with attribution anonymized to "Deleted User."
- Private forks of your Content already created by other users remain in their libraries.
- Data required to be retained by law will be retained as required.
4. Description of Service
4.1. Plotlight is a free content platform for discovering, creating, and sharing creative works. The Service provides:
- A Discovery hub for browsing and discovering published content from creators
- Tools for creating, managing, and sharing characters, presets, lorebooks, personas, and prompts
- A personal Library for organizing your content
- A Portfolio system for showcasing your published work
- A forking system that lets you copy and build on published content (with attribution preserved)
- Import and export tools for content portability
- A content rating system with All Hours, Late Night, and After Dark tiers
- A trust-based publishing system where new creators' submissions may be reviewed before publication
4.2. Plotlight is a free service. There are no subscription fees, no premium tiers, and no paywalls.
4.3. Plotlight is in active development. Features listed above may not all be available at any given time. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service without prior notice.
5. Content Ratings and Adult Content
5.1. Content Ratings. Plotlight uses three content rating tiers:
- All Hours: Suitable for general audiences (18+ only, as the platform requires).
- Late Night: Mature themes, suggestive content, moderate violence.
- After Dark: Explicit sexual content, graphic violence, and other adult material.
5.2. Accurate Rating Required. All published Content must be accurately rated. Consistently misrating Content is a violation of these Terms.
5.3. Permitted Adult Content. Plotlight permits adult content between fictional adult characters, including:
- Explicit sexual content between consenting adult fictional characters
- Gore, violence, and dark themes in fictional contexts
- Exploration of difficult or sensitive themes within fictional narratives
- Morally complex or villainous characters
5.4. All Content is Fiction. This platform is for fictional content only. Characters are creative works and do not represent real people. Views expressed in user-created Content do not represent the views of Plotlight.
5.5. Visibility Controls. Users may control their exposure to mature content through platform settings. After Dark content is hidden by default and must be explicitly enabled.
6. Content Publishing and Trust System
6.1. Publishing. Creators may publish Content to Discovery, making it visible to all users. Published Content must comply with these Terms and our Community Guidelines.
6.2. Trust Score. Plotlight uses a trust-based system for content publishing:
- New Creators begin with a low Trust Score. Their initial submissions may be held for review before publication.
- As a Creator builds a history of approved content, their Trust Score increases.
- Creators with a sufficient Trust Score may publish without review.
- Violations of these Terms or Community Guidelines may reduce your Trust Score.
- Severe violations may result in permanent loss of publishing privileges.
6.3. Review Queue. Content held for review will be processed in a reasonable timeframe. We are not obligated to publish any Content and may reject submissions that violate our policies.
6.4. No Guarantee of Visibility. Publishing Content does not guarantee visibility, promotion, or featuring. We reserve the right to feature, promote, or deprioritize Content at our sole discretion.
7. Prohibited Content and Conduct
7.1. Zero Tolerance Content
The following content results in immediate permanent account termination. Where required by law, we will report violations to the appropriate authorities.
7.1.1. Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Any sexual, romantic, or suggestive content involving minors — real, fictional, or AI-generated. This includes "aged-up" depictions of child characters that retain childlike characteristics. Violations will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement. Zero tolerance. No appeals.
7.1.2. Photorealistic Sexual Imagery of Minors. Any AI-generated or manipulated photorealistic imagery depicting minors in sexual situations.
7.2. Prohibited Content
The following content is prohibited and will result in content removal and potential account termination:
7.2.1. Real People. Sexual or explicit content depicting real, identifiable individuals (living or deceased within the past 100 years) without documented consent. This includes celebrities, public figures, politicians, and private individuals.
7.2.2. Bestiality / Feral NSFW. Sexual content involving real or non-anthropomorphic animals (feral animals) is strictly prohibited. Anthropomorphic characters (characters with human-level intelligence, speech, and humanoid traits) are permitted.
7.2.3. Hate Speech and Slurs. Content whose primary purpose is to promote hatred, violence, or discrimination against real groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin. Note: fictional characters may express prejudiced views within a narrative context where the content itself does not serve to promote real-world hatred.
7.2.4. Doxxing. Sharing or threatening to share another person's private personal information without their consent.
7.2.5. Impersonation. Falsely representing yourself as another user, a Plotlight team member, or any real person.
7.2.6. Spam. Automated or bulk posting of repetitive, low-quality, or promotional content.
7.2.7. Report Abuse. Filing false, frivolous, or bad-faith reports against other users.
7.2.8. Content Promoting Real Violence. Content that provides instructions for, incites, or promotes actual violence against real individuals or groups.

By using the Service, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Harass, threaten, bully, stalk, or otherwise harm any other user
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service except as expressly permitted
- Interfere with security features, reverse engineer, or attempt to discover source code
- Upload viruses, malware, or other malicious code
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans
- Sell, transfer, or resell access to the Service
- Attempt any of the above or assist others in doing so
7.4. Repeat Infringer Policy
Accounts that receive two or more valid DMCA strikes may be permanently terminated in accordance with Section 10.
7.5. Content Moderation
Plotlight actively moderates published Content. We may remove, edit, or block any Content that violates these Terms. Content submitted by Creators with low Trust Scores is reviewed before publication.
7.6. Reporting
If you encounter Content that violates these Terms, use the in-platform reporting system or email boxoffice@rolecallstudios.com. We review all reports and take appropriate action.
8. User Content and Intellectual Property
8.1. Your Ownership
You retain full ownership of all Content you create and upload to Plotlight. We do not claim ownership of your characters, lorebooks, presets, personas, prompts, or any other creative work.
8.2. License to Plotlight
By uploading Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your Content as necessary to operate the Service. For Content you publish to Discovery, this license includes displaying it to other users and promoting featured content on our platform or social media.
This license is revocable: setting your Content to private or draft status, or deleting it, ends the public display portion of this license. We retain only the rights necessary to operate the Service (e.g., storing your private content for you).
8.3. Forking
By publishing Content to Discovery, you grant other users a non-exclusive license to fork (copy) your Content through the Service's forking feature. Forks preserve attribution to you as the original creator. You understand and agree that:
- Forks that already exist cannot be revoked by making your original Content private or deleting it.
- Forks are independent copies. Changes you make to your original do not affect existing forks.
- This is a core feature of the platform and a condition of publishing Content publicly.
8.4. Content Representations
By uploading Content, you represent that:
- You are the creator or have the necessary rights and permissions to share it.
- Your Content does not infringe any third-party rights.
- Your Content does not violate applicable law.
9. No Payment Processing
9.1. Plotlight is a free service. We do not charge fees, process payments, or collect payment information.
9.2. We may introduce optional features in the future. Any such features will be subject to updated Terms published at the time of launch with at least 30 days notice.
10. Copyright and DMCA
10.1. Plotlight respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512).
10.2. DMCA Notifications. If you believe Content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notification to our designated agent at boxoffice@rolecallstudios.com with the subject line "DMCA Notification." Your notice must include:
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- A description of where the allegedly infringing material is located on the Service
- Your contact information (name, address, email, phone number)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized
- A statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
10.3. Counter-Notifications. If you believe your Content was wrongfully removed, you may submit a counter-notification including your signature, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that removal was in error, and your consent to jurisdiction.
10.4. Repeat Infringers. Accounts with two or more valid DMCA strikes may be permanently terminated.
10.5. Full DMCA Policy. Our complete DMCA Policy is available as a separate document. In the event of any conflict between this section and the full DMCA Policy, the full DMCA Policy controls.
11. Platform Intellectual Property
11.1. The Service and all Materials are owned by RoleCall Studios LLC or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
11.2. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
11.3. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the Materials without our prior written consent.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
12.1. "As Is" Service
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

13. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
13.1. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
13.2. Binding Arbitration
Except as described in Section 13.3, you and Plotlight agree that all disputes arising under these Terms or relating to the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the Commercial Dispute Resolution Procedures of the American Arbitration Association ("AAA"). AAA Rules are available at www.adr.org.
YOU AND PLOTLIGHT EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY OR TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.
13.3. Exceptions

13.4. Pre-Arbitration Notice
Before initiating arbitration, you must send a written notice to boxoffice@rolecallstudios.com describing the dispute and the relief sought. Both parties will attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith for at least 30 days before commencing arbitration.
13.5. Class Action Waiver
YOU AND PLOTLIGHT AGREE THAT DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. NEITHER PARTY MAY BRING CLAIMS AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
13.6. Jury Trial Waiver
YOU AND PLOTLIGHT WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.
13.7. Costs
If your claim is for $10,000 or less, RoleCall Studios LLC will reimburse your AAA filing fee if the arbitrator finds in your favor. Each party bears its own attorneys' fees unless the arbitrator awards fees to the prevailing party under applicable law.
13.8. Opt-Out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to boxoffice@rolecallstudios.com within 30 days of creating your account. Your notice must include your name, account email, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the judicial district of New Jersey.
13.9. Changes to Arbitration Provision
If we make a substantive change to this arbitration provision, you may reject the change by notifying us in writing within 30 days. If you reject the change, the prior version of this arbitration provision will continue to apply to you.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RoleCall Studios LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

15.4. Survival
Sections 8 (Content and IP), 11 (Platform IP), 12 (Disclaimers and Liability), 13 (Dispute Resolution), 14 (Indemnification), and 16 (General Provisions) survive termination.
16. General Provisions
